About the speaker:
Pauly Ossenblok has beenworking after finishing her PhD study as a medical physicist, focusing onResearch & Development of brain imaging techniques and the application ofthese techniques for patient studies, mainly in epilepsy. Originally shestarted in clinical neurophysiology with as main applications source analysisof high resolution EEG, but switched in an early phase to MEG as a valuabletool for the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy. Her activities also includeEEG combined functional MRI and structural diffusion-weighted MRI techniquesand network analysis based on these techniques. More recently she extended herfunctional EEG and MRI studies with the study of the excitability of the brainusing combined TranscranialMagnetic Stimulation, EMG and EEG. (TMS-EMG/EEG).
Pauly Ossenblok authoredover 40 peer reviewed scientific papers and a number of book chapters (AppendixA), she achieved a good number of grants, has extensive experience in teaching(lectures) and supervising of master and PhD students and postdocsand a morethan 100 proceedings contributions related to presentations at internationalconferences. She is reviewer of many journals, organized a number of scientificsessions at international conferences and symposia and was invited as a speakeror guest.
